Healthy chocolate mousse

Here it is everyone! The tastiest dessert I have made so far! And with zero guilt! You may have seen this recipe around before but I have changed / added a couple of different bits.

Check out the ingredients below and get stuck in! You will also be happy to know that it is vegan, gluten free and full of flavor! It is less than 5 ingredients and takes less than 10 minutes to make.

All you will need is:
  1. 200g of vegan chocolate (if you are not plant based normal is okay) - if you are wanting to have less sugar then mix up some cacao powder with milk until a thick consistency.
  2. 1 whole ripe Avocado
  3. 1 Banana - if you don't like bananas you can use another avocado or some Argave Syrup / Honey
  4. Pinch of salt
Optional Extra - add 1/2 scoop of protein powder to the mixture for added thickness and protein

Instructions:
  1.  Chop up the chocolate into a bowl or on the stove to melt. I would suggest adding a splash of plant based milk to help melt the chocolate to avoid burning it.
  2.  Whilst the chocolate is melting. Cut the Avocado in half and remove the stone and add to a mixer.
  3.  From there add the banana and melted chocolate and blend up
  4. You are looking for a light and fluffy consistency. From there serve in to any bowls and add toppings of your choice. I added raspberries and the salt to the top but you can also add it in before you blend all the ingredients up.
If you do have the willpower and don't eat it all at once then you can put it in the fridge to keep fresh. This is the perfect light, low calorie treat for a special occasion or if you just fancy something sweet.

Let me know any extra toppings you decide to put on the top in the comments below.

For anyone who is interested it is also 380 Calories, 28.9g Fat, 21.4g Carbs and 6.7g Protein (more if you add protein powder)

Enjoy!
